"I started my journey towards physical fitness in the spring of 2005. This picture of me in the pool with my son was taken at the
heaviest I had ever been, 255 pounds and a whopping 27% body fat. I joined Fitness World and vowed to myself that I would be slim
and trim in no time. Although I was working out consistently, I soon began to realize that something was very wrong with my "get fit"
plan, I wasn't achieving the results I wanted. What was wrong, I was lifting consistently, eating regularly, and should have been
progressing nicely based on everything I thought I knew to be proper eating and exercising habits. All it took was a few minutes of
talking with Michelle to realize how ill informed I was. My misconceptions about carbs, proteins, and fats had me on the fast track to
Fatsville. Though I was eating every two to two and a half hours like "body builders" do I was sorely misinformed and was doing more
damage than good. Michelle's experience, patience, and willingness to help correct my flawed diet helped get me into the best shape of
my life. Her knowledge of nutrition, proper exercise technique, and positive attitude made my journey to physical fitness a fun and
memorable experience. Michelle also proved invaluable in the last week leading up to my first body building contest. She helped me "peak"
at precisely the right time by adjusting my food intake to prime my body for the show. Thanks for all your help Michelle!"
